Dermaroller by Dermapure

The Dermaquest Dermaroller system is a natural way to improve the appearance of the skin and reverse the signs of aging. The principal behind the process (pure rolling) is to stimulate cell renewal and new collagen without damaging the epidermis. Scaring, moderate wrinkles, stretch marks, age spots and mild pigmentation can all be successfully treated. The Dermaroller uses 200 very fine titanium needles to create micro-channels (a controlled injury) into the deeper skin layers.

As the skin repairs itself new collagen is deposited in the papillary dermis causing the skin to plump from underneath to smooth out wrinkles, fine lines and indented scars. The skin’s strength, collagen and elastin are improved for a rejuvenated, smooth and youthful complexion

Skin concerns treated by Dermaroller:

. Uneven skin texture
. Large pores
. Acne Scarring
. Lines and wrinkles
. Loss of volume
. Dull skin

ClearSkin Aesthetics uses a PureRoller™ from brand specialist DermaQuest® which naturally promotes collagen production for resurfacing and reduction of scars and stretch marks. For best results, regular treatments are recommended.

FAQ

Dermaroller, also known as Microneedling is a medical roller with hundreds of tiny needles arranged around it.

As the roller passes the skin the needles work by prickling the skin, this produces tiny microneedle punctures in the skin. The skin is effectively tricked into repairing itself in its natural process with the production of collagen and cell renewal in the dense inner layer of the skin.

Microneedling does cause some discomfort, however our aestheticians will use a topical anaesthetic to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

The side effects of this treatment are minimal. While immediately after treatment the skin will feel a little sensitive, tight and red, this will subside within a few hours. Within two days the skin will have healed itself and you will begin to see how the treatment is helping to improve the skin’s appearance.

With Microneedling you will notice that skin looks slightly firmer and brighter after your first treatment. However we do recommend a course of 3-6 treatments for optimal results. As standard the treatments are carried out every 4 weeks.

One Dermaroller session lasts for around 40 minutes, although this may vary depending on which part of your body we treat. For example, a hand or neckline treatment will take less time than a facial treatment.

Dermaroller is suitable for all skin types. However, it can cause sensitive skin to become irritated, so it may not be appropriate for people who suffer from allergies. Before any treatment, you will be given the opportunity to consult with a member of the Dr Leah team; you can discuss any concerns you may have during this session.
